The family has purchased and moved into their first official home (pictures for this in part three- hopefully the house will be ready for it then). Everyone in the family has much gratitude and thanks that the stars aligned for this venture. The house has more space which benefits Claire as she continues to work on her physical therapy and allows Zoe the cat more free reign making her a much nicer kitty.
Beside the house, the stress from school and moving has left all sick with a cold/upper respiratory issue. Thankfully, all are recovering however slowly.
Claire in particular, not being able to blow her nose, has had a bit of trouble shaking the bug, but she's coming along. She might not be able to blow her nose, yet she sure can throw up the gunk that she swallows. . .
Sadly, Claire also made a three day trip to the hospital right before the new year as we catheter came out yet again. This time it was something else that pulled it out and not her. It happened at dialysis and, as far as we can tell, it had gotten caught on something. Thankfully, Claire was able to get another catheter in and this has to stay in. She also has seemingly developed sleep apnea so she'll be enjoying a sleep study soon, but she's all good for now! Happy as ever and constantly moving.
Also, the family did manage to make all family Christmases despite missing an opportunity for Christmas pictures and New Years party which they're surprisingly okay with.
Now, what you really missed. . .
